Counselor and Teacher Jobs at The Doon School, Dehradun
The Doon School, a premier school in India with an international reputation, is in search of committed and accomplished professionals in the following fields:
- Biology and Environmental Sciences Teacher
- Physics Teacher
- Psychology Teacher
- Counselor
The candidates for Biology and EVS, Physics and Psychology must possess a Postgraduate Degree in the subject. minimum of 5 years experience in teahing students from 10th to 12th standard (ICSE/ISC) is desirable. Candidates with a degree in education and who are IB trained may have an advantage, but other candidates may apply as training is given.
The counselor should be enthusiastic and innovative, have the competence to understand students in their own environment and the ability to deal with the problems of young energetic talents who are studying away from their homes. The candidate must have requisite training in counselling skills with in-depth knowledge of developmental and adolescent psychology. The candidate must also have excellent communication skills and the qualities to build a rapport with young male students
Teachers who are attracted to the challenge of guiding young minds beyond teh traditional classroom curriculum, who use innovative teaching methods and believe in all round education, may apply for the current vacancies. Teachers with prior experience in a fully residential school are preferred.
Emoluments will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
