Electricity and water Authority- Kingdom of Bahrain requires immediately:
Senior Electrical Engineers (P6) – System Development & Design: Degree in Electrical Engineering from reputed University with minimum 4 years experience in teh field. To design and cost estimate of major and complex schemes and projects involving Extension reinforcement change or alteration of the distribution network in accordance with established standards and code of practice. To design and cost estimate major capital schemes in relation to system development reinforcement alteration or change to the distribution network p to and including 11,000 volts, to liaise with the appropriate authorities in order to avoid causing obstruction or damage to utilities or plant owned by the Electricity Distribution Directorate or others, to assist in the establishment and maintenance of records of all the distribution network and programming of the design work to be prepared by the section, to assist in the establishment and maintenance of records of all capital schemes prepared by the section.
Electrical Engineer (P5) (Network Planning and Design): Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed University with minimum 3 years experience in the field.
Electrical Engineering Technicians (G8) Materials : Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years experience in the field to assist in procurement and timely provision activities and functions and monitoring of the issues of materials for various EDD projects, Staff and CSD procurement activities aiming at the more efficient and economical utilization.
Electrical Engineering Techns (G8) Network Planning and Design : diploma in Electrical engineering with minimum 2 years experience in the field to carry out site investigations and prepare the design cost estimate and proposals with regard to minor system development, reinforcement and alterations to the distribution network, to assist in the preparation of major designs.
For Engineers
Employee will receive a tax free lump sum salary includes all allowances in 2 years initial contract renewable upon mutual agreement ( Salary includes housing allowance, travel tickets, transport, children education, etc.) Other benefits include 42 calendar days annual leave, he entitled to use without charge the full range of free medical and health services provided by Ministry of Health, air ticket and air cargo service a the beginning and end of contract.
For Engineering Technicians
Tax free salary negotiable depending on qualification and experience. 2 years initail contract renewable every 2 years upon mutual agreement, benefits include travel tickets and free medical treatment in Ministry of Health Hospitals. Incumbent will also receive an annual gratuity at the end of each calendar year, housing allowance, air cargo at the beginning and end of contract. Other nefits include 42 calendar days leave and any other allowances that will bedetermined by the employing Authority following successful selection.

Electrical Network Planning engineer responsible for transmission grid Short & long term planning of electrical power systems in which I do the following:
- Substations Load forecast by studying the existing loads and estimate the consumer characteristics, estimate substation demand forecast by applying such methodology that able to estimate the forecasted demand of existing and new substation; estimate the forecast of the energy losses; define the load factors and losses factors; give any load transfer envisaged from to new substation.
- Substations and network expansion: The so-called SEP is constructed to determine the required expansion capacities of the existing substations as well as the locations and the sizes of new substations together with the required availability times, and any future reinforcement options required; any designing issues that should be taken in our consideration in future reinforcement as, cooling system, monitoring system, etc. so that the loads can be adequately supplied.
- Power system analysis (load flow, dynamic& stability analysis, short circuit… etc).
- Substation & transmission grid long term plan preparing (expansion and investment plans).
- Electrical Grid Integration of renewable & other generations (resource analysis, capacity credit evaluation, system impact studies related).
