Set up in 2005 at the initiative of Shri Sudarshan Agarwal, then Governor of Uttarakhand, by the Himalayan School Society, a public benefit Trust, the School is managed by a Board of Governors whose members are persons of immense public respect and eminence. Located in a picturesque 10 acre campus, the School currently houses 200 girls slated to increase to around 250. the Board of Governors of the School wish to provide the highest opportunity and standard of education to the bright girls studying here.
The him Jyoti School Principal shall be a Lady, an academician and a Team Leader with:
- An understanding of the vision of the School
- The ability and maturity to lead by example, build a team and take up the mission
- Strong personal and professional ethics
- A strong understanding of progressive educational methodologies
- The ability to nurture young minds by relating to them
- The energy and drive to attend to all aspects of a boarding environment

The ideal candidate should be between 40 to 55 years of age, have a good personal academic record, and preferably have had prior experience in a boarding school for girls. She will receive an excellent environment on Campus to live in, and work with ‘best in class’ remuneration
